CASE STUDY CATEGORIES
General Manager – Corporate Relations
Sector: Infrastructure
Location: Melbourne
Our client is a private manager of a $10 billion commercial operation with a significant growth strategy. They run 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. The Chief Executive Officer had over eighteen $100 million+ priority projects in process with State and Federal Governments which required an enormous amount of communication with key stakeholders.
Issue
After exiting their Head of Corporate Relations, our client had an urgent requirement to replace the role within a week given the status of their priority projects. The role was critical as it managed the expectations of both external (State and Federal Government) and internal stakeholders. The priorities for the Interim Manager were timely reporting, documentation of stakeholder engagement plans, board reports and preparation of conference presentations for the Chief Executive Officer.
Solution
EIM appointed an Interim Executive within 72 hours of engagement. The individual needed a strong profile in Corporate Relations with significant infrastructure experience and exposure to the Private Premier's Office. Over the course of their assignment, our Interim Manager was able to reset the Corporate Strategy, successfully advocate for the CEO on all priority projects to State and Federal Government and support on delivering the Stakeholder Engagement framework.
